The Company’s lead product is bucindolol, a fourth generation beta-blocker and vasodilator in development for heart failure and other indications, which aims to be the first genetically-targeted cardiovascular drug. Bucindolol was the subject of a major Phase III heart failure mortality trial involving more than 2,700 patients and was unique in gathering DNA data on a major portion (over 1,000) of its participants. ARCA has licensed exclusive, worldwide rights to bucindolol.
